Success Tip: Don’t Fight It!

Author: Shauna  |  Category: Law of Attraction

How many things do you regret in your life? What about things you wish you had done differently, or current circumstances that you would change if you could?

These things are called resistance, and as you resist what IS and what HAS BEEN, you hold back the good things you want to come into your life NOW.

We have all heard of resistance, but what we have found is that many people have a difficult time identifying resistance within themselves. They are looking for something obvious or something that jumps out at them, but in truth resistance is simpler, and more subtle, than that. It is subtle becasue it feels so natural to us that we do not even realize what it is. The questions above will give you a good starting point to discover a few of your own places of resistance…wherever you are hanging on to something, or wishing something was other than it actually is or was, you are carrying around resistance. It is heavy…let it go and you will literally lighten up.

Don’t fight it! The old saying ‘what you resist, persists’, has pertinence here, and can be interpreted to mean that just by giving it a name, a certain cicumstance continues to exist in your mind and in your life. For example, if you are trying to quit smoking and keep saying to yourself how difficult it is or even if you tell yourself you are now a non-smoker, notice that the very fact that smoking or smoker is part of your vocabulary keeps the concpet within your thoughts and your reality. If you focus instead on your desired end result, such as ‘I am a healthy, happy person who works out at least 4 days a week and I’m so grateful for my vibrant health and for every new day I get to enjoy’, you will begin and live each day with a very different set of feelings and thoughts.

Enjoy your week, and remember to focus on your desired end results, and stop fighting the things you do NOT WANT!

Part of this goes back to the Law of Gestation and to Shauan’s Financial post; it can take time to attract things. You must work on habits, skills, etc. while you are waiting for what you want to happen and time is passing. As in the “Miracle Bread” post, you have to figure out what works for you, and stick with it at least a few months.

Sure I’m working on getting money and a job, but while I’m working and waiting, I am working and learning too. You have to focus on both aspects, and use your waiting time to get where you want to go, not focus on where you’ve been.
