Success Tag: You’re It!

Author: ophelia  |  Category: Law of Attraction

We have been tagged by Aaron at Todayisthatday.com and challenged to participate in his ‘Simply Successful Secrets’ experiment — click here for the specific blog post.

The challenge is to identify those things that we do CONSISTENTLY which contribute towards success in life. So, we accept the challenge! Shauna and I have created this list together to demonstrate the power of consistency:

1) MASTERMIND: Ophelia: ”I talk to my prosperity partner every single day – like your own private coach - we talk about every aspect of business and personal growth, from product development, to blog posts , to new websites. When I write and you see a blog post with Ophelia you assume it’s all me, but what you don’t see is that when I write most of my blogs are with passion so Shauna goes behind me and edits the posts. We are like the personal development tag team – between us there is no skill lacking and we blend well together – yin and yang. Every day we talk about how to get to the next level, how to create better, how to make more money, even to a point where our kids are forming their own business. So that consistently has helped us grow far beyond many many years of work we could have done by ourselves.”

2) TAKE ACTION: Posting on our blog and performing tasks which further the achievement of our goals. Ophelia: “This is a big one – we take a lot of action. I have a rule: whenever the Universe sends me an idea, I take action – my way of saying thanks to the Universe and that I got the idea. I take action on it, even if it’s only something small. The action may be as simple as discussing it with Shauna so it doesn’t die in my brain; sometimes I’ll send myself an email so I’ll remember that I had that thought, or I’ll start the first page of a new book. It may be to buy that website name we thoiught of so we can start working on it once the current projects are out of the way, but the point is we always take ACTION.” As far as blogging, Ophelia says: “For me blogging has forced me to be consistent, and as more people read the blog it makes you want to get up and write something. Blogging for me has also been about personal growth; if I write a blog post about receiving it forces me to question how well I’m open to receiving. It’s also a medium for me to stand up for my beliefs on a particular subject, so blogging has proven to be an excellent growth medium for me.”

Shauna: “We take a LOT of action. It affirms our beliefs in ourselves and in the success of our businesses. We often work until midnight 7 days a week taking action on our ideas, but for us it’s fun, because we are following our dreams and creating them as we go.”

3) GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT: Shauna: “This is about willingness to change. Every day I ask myself ‘How can I’ questions – how can I change this? How can I see this differently? Whenever we come across some ‘negative’ feeling or response, we examine it, because we know we are at cause, and that exploring where we are blocked is the FASTEST way to grow.” Ophelia: “Every single day I/we work on our limiting beliefs. We ask how can we get better at this, how can we make it better? If you visit our main website you’ll realize that something on it keeps changing - as we change it changes along with us. We come up with new breakthroughs every day – new discoveries about ourselves, about how the Universe may operate in our lives. We work on what steps we need to take to get to the next level, we look at other people who are successful and we model different things after them and we work towards our $500 mill dollar goal :-)

4) CLARITY: Shauna: “Each day or two, I write and re-write my goals, re-defining what I want and what my ideals are. Without being specific we have no clarity from which to take action.”

4) MOTIVATION & INSPIRATION: We both consistently listen to audios, in the car and on the computer; we read all the time about the successes of others and we watch our Intention Statement videos. We both watch The Secret regualrly, even if it’s just playing in the background. It’s all about feeding your mind – both conscious and subconscious – the ‘right stuff’ and creating and maintaining empowering habits. Ophelia: “Even if I’m busy I watch the ending of The Secret; Micheal Beckwith says “I believe that you are great, that there is something magnificent about you” and in a world where there is so much negative said about you, to hear someone say that you are great every day can be the most empowering thing that you ever hear!”

5) HEALTH & VITALITY: Shauna: “We both value active lifestyles, and some days it may be only a walk or a swim but we endeavor to do something active each day and make healthy choices. This goes beyond the cliche: we know that our health is vital to everything we are doing, and also it reinforces our future pictures of ourselves – we are BECOMING the poeple we want to be. We are living into the future we wish to create. Ophelia: “I swim 5 days a week and work out. Health and working out was always one of my consistent issues, so I found a gym that had swimming and convinced myself that I was going swimming; then after I had so much fun swimming, I changed it to working out for 45 minutes and swimming for 45 minutes and even in the freezing cold I’m still motivated to go swimming.”

6) GRATITUDE: We both consistently focus on what we love in our current lives and what we are grateful for. The power of gratitude is that it allows for more good to flow as we appreciate and focus on what we already have. Shauna keeps a gratitude journal online.

We could add more to this list, such as meditating and taking great care of our kids, but it all comes down to being consistent and doing the things that make a difference in the big picture. Thanks, Aaron, for including us, and we now tag the following people:

    Shauna & Ophelia,

Thanks to you both for playing along, and I was inspired as I read your habits. It is clear that you both realize that your state of mind is the most powerful tool that you have, but that it also has to be backed up with taking action.

I will look forward to seeing the growth of your business efforts as well as to you both continuing to live the lives that you are consciously creating! :)

p.s. – The first time I tried to submit this comment, I added the numbers wrong. It seems I need to spend more time reading math books, too! ;)

  2. Jamie says:

Thanks for the tag both of you! I put the link to my entry above. Loved your entry :)

  3. Karen Lynch says:

Ophelia and Shauna, I just want to say “Thank you” for tagging me. It was a wonderful challenge to really reflect on life. I enjoyed it. Great thoughts on your post!
    Joy and Blessings,
    Karen

    Hi Aaron,
Thanks so much for the tag-Looks like this is a success already!
Jamie,Karen thanks for accepting the challenge- I love both your posts- Keep up the great work

  5. Theresa says:

Ooooh – thanks so much for the links; I enjoy reading taggings, I always find something great! :) .

Aaron – I think there’s a built in time limit on the numbers/comments as well. I’ve noticed that if I don’t submit a comment right away, probably within a minute or so, though I’ve never timed it – I get the math error message. It and other systems have taught me to write my comment, copy it into notepad or a word doc, then submit. If the math’s wrong or something else happens, I copy again from the file. It has saved me a few times :) .

“The action may be as simple as discussing it with Shauna so it doesn’t die in my brain; sometimes I’ll send myself an email so I’ll remember that I had that thought, or I’ll start the first page of a new book.”

Question – how do you organize these emails or first pages so you can easily pick up where you left off? I have several pieces of various lengths that I have started to write and for different reasons have failed to finish.

I’m running out of time in a couple of self-paced writing classes that I’m taking. Sometimes it will be a long time before I look at a certain piece, and I forget where I was going with it or why I started it.

    Thanks
    Theresa

  7. Theresa says:

oh, sour pickles, I had two or three days opened at once and posted that to the wrong day…

    Theresa

  8. ophelia says:

First why haven’t you finished the pieces? Anything you aren’t doing is because its more painful for you to do it – it may feel like doing them may be painful because you could be doing something else. Then time comes to turn in your work and its more painful to not do the work. So now you are trapped between two pains- I’m a little diffrent- with my ideas I want to get it done now- I name the files or emails by the thought-ex wealthy women book- In my admin section there are two blog posts for me to complete- so it’s in my face to complete and I do.

  9. Theresa says:

For several years, because of a deep personal betrayal, it has been less painful to not work on/finish the pieces. To do any writing or creating or outreach at all has/was definitely easier.

    Theresa
