You’ve looked high…you’ve looked low.

You tried that program your best friend told you about.

You called the 1-800 number and paid for that video set with your Mastercard…you’ve tried it all! So why haven’t you achieved your goals? Have you done something wrong? Have you missed something?…

Yes, you have, and that is that you are expecting another program, another genius, another ‘secret’ to hold the answers to the life of your dreams. So often we feel that if we could just find that missing key, everything would fall in to place and things would be perfect.

This thought pattern is deadly – it’s a dream-killer. It is like an endless loop, and keeps us searching instead of what we should be doing, which is choosing, and then creating.

There is no secret, and any program claiming to help you fix your life in a week is selling you false hope…while the perpetrators laugh all the way to the bank!

What you need to do is two things:

1) Take control: This means accepting responsibility for everything that has come before this moment. It means choosing what you want and what you don’t – making the decisions that count, and then acting on them, consistently. I’ll bet that among those programs and advice from the ‘geniuses’ you have also heard this advice…words like consistency, accountability, commitment, persistence, patience, desire. These are the attributes necessary for creating a full, productive and complete life of love, passion and accomplishment…so why are we always trying to look to someone else or some program to solve our problems and accomplish our goals? Only we can do what needs to be done. That means only YOU.

2) Find your own reasons: This means that unless and until you look within and decide what you want your life to be about, then the goals you set will have no power. Pursuing goals that your parents had in mind, or even that you decided on long ago will not lead to anything lasting. The goals will have no power because there is no deep, burning desire behind them. Invest in the time to really think through what is important to you, and discard all the other ideas you’ve collected. Hold on to your few precious gems, and begin to mold them. Work on them, think about them and create them…this is how it works!
