July 1st: Happy Canada Day!

I know most of you are not Canadian, but I AM, and today we celebrate our heritage. It’s Canada Day, and just like July 4th in the U.S., we enjoy celebratory parades and fireworks and lots of festivals.

The children attending these festivities probably have no idea what it is all about, so for all of you who will be celebrating your heritage this week, be sure and explain a little bit about WHY you are celebrating to your kids…what a fantastic country they live in…so they will truly have a reason to celebrate too!
