I cannot help but put my two cents’ worth out there, as I am watching the Academy Awards and notice what a difference I feel this year as compared to years past.
I have in the past been of two minds about such awards shows, as I felt the excess was in disgustingly stark contrast to the issues and problems of so many millions in the world we all share…but I have changed.
I now know that everyone deserves prosperity, decadence and wonderful experiences which bring us joy. Because one person HAS something, does not mean that someone else HAS NOT. This is the basis of all prosperity thinking: abundance instead of lack.
Also, the more abundance and yes, money, we attract, the more influence can come along with it…the influence to affect people’s minds, their futures, and where they direct the power of their wallets. These people – those attending and participating in the Awards – are in the position to affect the opinions of millions, and tonight they have attempted to further the cause of helping to stem the tide of Global Warming.
When celebrities get on the ‘bandwagon’, like it or not, many people follow what they say and believe in. I, for one, am glad to see such an important message being delivered at such a venue…finally!
Let us all do our part…I am not looking for arguments about whether this crisis is REAL. No matter how far along we truly are in the process, global warming is real, and it IS a danger. For more information, you may wish to see the movie An Inconvenient Truth, and make your own judgements.
However, we can all do our part by beginning think in terms of prosperity for ALL – our fellow human beings, AND our beautiful, life-giving planet – and by reducing our own impact.
